Dayna Montgomery is a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Rehabilitation in the Home team at Royal Perth Hospital. When RPH Executive asked for interested staff to assist with the formulation of a taskforce to focus on environmental issues concerning the health service - Dayna volunteered and became a senior active member and secretary of the Health Environmental Awareness Team (HEAT). In just one year this team’s successes include conducting Living Smart Courses and information evenings for staff, convening a State conference, formulation of the HEAT website, nominated HEAT representatives for wards/ departments and the transporting of superseded hospital equipment to Samoa and Sudan.
